Algenuity Ingredients was formed to bring Algenuity’s proprietary Chlorella Colours plant protein platform to the food and beverage ingredients market.

A Joint Venture partnership between Mara Renewables Corporation (Mara) and Algenuity brings two Algae expert companies together, combining extensive and complimentary skills. 

Around since 2006, Mara is the leading Canadian biotechnology company focused on the research, development, and commercialization of sustainable and natural algal biotechnologies for human nutrition and related industries.

With demonstrated expertise in prospecting, scaling and operational production of Algal oils, their Schizochytrium platform is already well established in the DHA-rich algal omega-3 oils space. 

MICRO-PLANTS WITH MIGHTY AMBITIONS

Bedfordshire, UK-based Algenuity brings deep knowledge and IP in the plant protein space with their Chlorella vulgaris based chlorophyll-deficient whole cell product.

With manufacturing operations at the Algal Omega 3 Limited site in Knowsley, UK, Algenuity Ingredients collectively has the know-how and necessary fermentation scale to commercialise Chlorella Colours with full production in 2022.
